Hi I'm Grace!

A disability advocate, adaptive athlete & blogger

I have Spina Bifida and have been physically disabled since birth. Over the past 18 years, I’ve faced many obstacles, learned to advocate for myself, and—most importantly—found joy! Like any other high schooler, I love going to football games, hanging out with friends, and competing in wheelchair racing. I’m proud to be part of my high school’s Track and Field team.

One lesson I’ve carried with me from a young age is never to accept “no” or “can’t” as an answer. I’ve been blessed with an incredible support system of family, friends, and role models who have helped pave the way for me.

When I was in middle school and transitioning to high school, I often felt alone in my experience with a disability. It seemed like very few people could truly relate. However, discovering adaptive sports changed everything. It showed me that I wasn’t alone and helped me connect with a community that understands and uplifts one another.

The truth is, living with a disability can feel isolating and even scary at times, but it can also be profoundly beautiful. My hope for this blog is to inspire someone with a disability—or a parent or caregiver of someone with a disability—to see the many opportunities and joys that life has to offer. Even in the face of challenges, you are never alone in your journey.
