Happy April it's officially spring! Where I am it feels like it as well! The birds are starting to

come back from their migration to warmer temperatures, other animals are coming out of hibernation, and flowers and different plants are growing new buds and blooming.

It's these small things we take for granted all year long and when winter hits, everything dies, and the wildlife hides away for the winter. This is when we realize just how beautiful our world is.

We all know the people in our lives who are always smiling and happy. When we see those people it's normal to ask ourselves why their life so perfect and awesome, we start to compare our lives to theirs it's human nature.

What I have learned is it isn't that one person's life is better than the other but how one person may choose to handle what comes our way. Attitude is something you have complete and total control over when you have control over anything else you can choose your attitude.

My attitude is what has given me so much independence. It's one of the things that I have always and will always get to choose. This past week I was in a situation where there was not a ramp or curb cut out to get to where I needed to go. I was left with two choices I could have waited for someone to come and help me hop the curb or B I could figure out how to hop the curb so I could get to where I was going.

While I could have sat there and been upset that there wasn't a curb cutout and it wasn't accessible I knew that wasn't going to change the situation. I chose to have a positive mindset and figure it out because I knew I was not going to let the lack of access affect my ability to get to where I needed to and enjoy my day.
